Job description

Description

Are you searching for an opportunity that will help you build upon and apply the skills you have learned in your academic work?

Are you looking for meaningful work in a driven, collaborative environment?

Are you interested in learning more about United States military systems and Department of Defense Operations that have real-world impacts?

If you are pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics field, then we would love to have you join our team!

As an intern in the Electronic Warfare Systems group, you could...

Provide engineering analysis, electronic and mechanical integration, and hardware-in-the-loop testing of next-generation electronic warfare (EW) subsystems and components for Air Force and Navy electronic warfare systems. Key subsystems include software defined radios (SDRs), Radio Frequency (RF) sensors, transmit and receive antennas, high power RF amplifiers, electronic support measures receivers, and waveform generators.

Support test leads in the evaluation and operation of ground-based and / or aircraft-based Electronic Warfare (EW) systems both in the laboratory and off-site locations. Participate in all aspects of testing against RF threats, which includes pre-test planning and analysis, execution of testing, post-test analysis, and documentation and reporting. There will be opportunities to present your work through briefings to technical leaders and decision makers!

Perform threat vulnerability analysis and threat characterization in support of electronic warfare system development and operational use of electronic warfare platforms and systems.

Your main work location would be APL's main campus in Laurel, MD, but you may need to travel to off-site government locations to support test events.
