We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Millwright Manager to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. This role will oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial machinery and mechanical equipment. The successful candidate will have an in-depth understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, as well as experience with conveyors, sawmills, kilns, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), motors, drives, gearboxes, and welding equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional looking for a leadership role in a fast-paced, state-of-the-art manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities :

  • Oversee and manage all millwright operations, ensuring all machinery and equipment are running at optimal efficiency.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs, monitor equipment for potential issues, and conduct regular inspections.
  • Manage and coordinate installation, repairs, and maintenance projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations, maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
  • Collaborate with other department managers to optimize operations and improve overall productivity.
  • Troubleshoot and repair issues with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Manage and maintain inventory of spare parts and equipment, ensuring availability when needed.
  • Continually evaluate processes and procedures for efficiency and effectiveness, making recommendations for improvements when necessary.

Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Millwright or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience managing and leading a team.
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience with conveyors, sawmills, kilns, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), motors, drives, gearboxes.
  • Proficient in welding and other equipment-related tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex machinery issues.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong understanding of safety and environmental regulations in a manufacturing setting.
  • Certified Industrial Mechanic Millwright (or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, when needed.
