This position is based out of any of our regional offices or fully remote.

About The Position

As a Senior BIM Specialist, you will provide building information modeling (BIM) services for projects, developing fully constructible 3D models and detailed construction documents to support field electricians with challenging electrical installations. You will collaborate with project managers and team members, involving project planning as required.

Day in the Life

  • Executes and tracks daily work plans, providing recommendations for improvements. Offers technical support to project teams, responding to questions and solving problems.
  • Works closely with design teams, applying detailed attention to modeling, clashing, and annotating sheets. Gathers information from other disciplines to complete electrical designs on schedule.
  • Produces 3D models and detailed electrical construction documents using Autodesk software. Completes 2D and 3D drafting tasks.
  • Develops conceptual designs, sketches, or value engineering ideas. Prepares calculations, specifications, schedules, and reports.
  • Reviews project shop drawings, consults with vendors, and develops engineered construction drawings from external contract documents.
  • Attends BIM coordination meetings, maintains communication, and updates plans based on feedback. Escalates issues as needed.
  • Develops understanding of electrical systems, codes, and safety standards. Participates in training to maintain proficiency.

    • Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience in BIM, engineering, or related field.
  • 3-4 years of BIM modeling experience.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk, Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office; Evolve experience is a plus.
  • Ability to interpret electrical contracts, plans, drawings, and specifications; basic knowledge of the National Electrical Code is preferred.
  • Basic project management skills and understanding of the project lifecycle.
  • Desire to learn electrical design and construction, dependable team player, committed to growth.

    • Travel

    Occasional travel may be required.

    Salary Range

    $83,100 – $116,300 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
