Job Summary :
We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Mental Health Professional to provide comprehensive mental health assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and crisis intervention services for both adult and child clients. You will collaborate closely with a team of physicians, psychiatrists, and allied health professionals to create tailored treatment programs that address a wide array of mental health needs.
Essential Responsibilities :
- Design, implement, coordinate, and assess clinical treatment programs for clients with acute or chronic mental illness. Actively participate in staff meetings to select, plan, and evaluate treatment options. Provide outpatient psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups.
- Educate and counsel clients and their families on adherence to therapeutic and medication regimens. Offer specialized therapeutic procedures as required and support clients’ families to enhance treatment acceptance and engagement.
- Maintain accurate intake summaries, treatment plans, and case records in accordance with state and NCQA regulations. Document treatment and progress efficiently while ensuring confidentiality.
- Work in conjunction with physicians to evaluate patients for psychotropic medications as needed. Leverage community resources and agencies to facilitate the treatment process, including referrals for additional support.
- Supervise Post Masters Fellows and Associate Therapists as necessary, contingent upon completion of supervision training.
- Work collaboratively with families to provide necessary support, including treatment explanations and strategies to enhance adherence to recommended interventions.
- Proactively participate in departmental program development and evaluation, ensuring alignment with community needs.
- Report any safety concerns to appropriate mandated reporting agencies.
Basic Qualifications :
Experience : N / AEducation : A master's degree in Social Work, Social Welfare with a clinical track, Clinical or Counseling Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution is required.License, Certification, Registration : Must possess a Licensed Clinical Social Worker license or a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist license in California. Alternately, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor license, with Couples and Families Endorsement, must be obtained within 24 months of hire. A National Provider Identifier is required upon hire.Additional Requirements :
Familiarity with DSM-V for diagnostic purposes.Experience in assessing, diagnosing, and treating a broad range of psychiatric conditions.Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Knowledge of social services agencies, state regulations, and professional standards related to mental health treatment and patient confidentiality.Willingness to participate in on-call rotations if required.Understanding of Evidence-Based Practice and psychotherapy research methods.Familiarity with bio-psycho-social factors that affect mental health.Strong ability to diagnose issues accurately and formulate effective treatment plans.Proficiency in individual, family, and group psychotherapy.Professional maturity and ethical integrity vital for fulfilling professional responsibilities.Commitment to quality service and teamwork within a collaborative multidisciplinary clinic environment.Aptitude for managing multiple priorities and tasks effectively and efficiently.Capability to thrive in a Labor / Management Partnership environment.Preferred Qualifications :
Prior experience as a member of a psychiatric treatment team in outpatient or inpatient settings under licensed supervision.Experience including crisis intervention and providing individual and group psychotherapy.Demonstrated professional maturity and ethical integrity.Commitment to quality service and teamwork in a multidisciplinary setting.Proven ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.Ability to accurately diagnose and develop effective treatment plans.Competence in conducting individual, family, and group psychotherapy.Primary Location : Fresno Medical Offices I - First St., California. Working Hours : Monday (8 : 00 AM - 7 : 30 PM), Tuesday (8 : 00 AM - 6 : 30 PM), Wednesday (8 : 00 AM - 6 : 30 PM), Friday (8 : 00 AM - 5 : 30 PM) with varying schedules.
