Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer with echocardiography and EKG rhythm recognition experience for a multi-site outpatient cardiology assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Position based in an outpatient cardiology clinic setting
  • Day shifts, typically 8 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM, totaling 40 hours per week
  • Initial assignment at the Berkeley cardiology location with required travel to other locations (San Ramon, Concord, Walnut Creek, Brentwood) after 1 / 16 / 26
  • Independent operation of stress echo procedures is preferred
  • Primary responsibilities include performing echocardiograms, stress echo procedures, and rhythm monitoring
  • Must be willing and able to travel between multiple outpatient clinic locations
  • Reference requirements apply to candidates with multiple facilities in the past year
  • Gaps over 30 days in employment history must be explained
  • Current skills checklist is required as part of the application

    • Requirements

  • Active state license required if applicable
  • Must be EKG certified or have strong familiarity with cardiac rhythms
  • Experience running stress echo procedures independently preferred
  • Experience with preliminary reporting preferred
  • Minimum of one year of recent cardiac sonographer experience in echocardiography
  • Two recent clinical references from leadership at two places of employment covering the last year
  • Comprehensive seven-year employment history required
  • Current skills checklist valid within one year
