• Provide critical care nursing for patients who have suffered heart attacks, strokes, shock, severe trauma, respiratory distress or other severe medical issues
• Assess patient conditions and plan and implement patient care plans
• Treat wounds and provide advanced life support
• Assist physicians in performing procedures
• Observe and record patient vital signs
• Ensure proper functioning of ventilators, monitors and other medical equipment
• Adjust ventilator / IABP settings as needed
• Administer intravenous fluids and medications
• Perform suctioning procedures
• Collaborate with critical care team members
• Respond to life-saving situations using nursing standards and protocols
• Act as patient advocate
• Provide education and support to patient families
• Care for pre- and post-operative patients
• Must have recent LTACH, trach & vent experience
• ACLS & BLS certifications required (must be through American Heart Association)
• Ohio RN or multi-state RN license required
