Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $2,151 per week in Richmond, VA

Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : RN Specialty : PCU Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night Hours per Shift : 12 hours Experience : Minimum 2 years License : RN License Certifications : ACLS and BLS Must-Have : Drip titration skills (Diltiazem, Nitro, Heparin) Basic rhythm recognition Description : The unit has a total of 21 beds. There are 35 staff members on the unit. The day shift consists of 6 RNs, 2 technicians, and 1 secretary. The night shift consists of 6 RNs and 1-2 technicians. Patient ratios are 4 : 1, with a maximum of 5 patients. The unit is equipped with bedside monitors, EKG machines, bladder scanners, and lab draw capabilities. Procedures performed include : Lab draws EKG Bladder scanning Bedside thoracentesis / paracentesis Blood product administration Straight catheterization Foley catheter insertion, removal, and care, including continuous bladder irrigation Central line care and removal BiPap and High Flow Oxygen The ideal candidate will be energetic, hardworking, friendly, and a team player. Flexibility with shifts is preferred. The unit may require floating to Med / Surg Telemetry as needed. Scrub color is all navy. Staff is expected to work every other weekend.
