Travel Nurse Job Details

Location : Polson, MT 59860 (Montana nursing jobs)

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 12 / 1 / 2025 – End : 3 / 2 / 2026)

Shift : Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19 : 00 – 07 : 00)

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1950–$2090 per week

Setting : LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) Unit

Patient Ratios : 1 : 1, 1 : 2, 1 : 4 depending on census

Charting : Epic electronic health record system

Scrub Color : Any color (OR scrubs provided)

Parking : Free on-site parking

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Montana or compact state (required at time of submission)

Minimum 2 years of recent LDRP or Labor & Delivery RN experience

BLS and NRP certifications required; CLC and STABLE preferred

Experience with Epic charting system

Proven ability to provide comprehensive OB care for mothers and newborns

Willingness to assist with general nursing tasks in other units as needed (no patient assignments outside L&D)

Two supervisory references from the past three years

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum phases

Triage obstetrical patients and circulate for C-sections

Conduct sterile vaginal exams and monitor fetal well-being, including wireless fetal monitoring

Utilize JADA device for postpartum hemorrhage management

Accurately document all care in Epic EHR

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and more)

Assist with general nursing tasks (IV starts, answering phones) in other units when L&D census is low

Participate in self-scheduling and provide weekend coverage as needed
