Asset Recovery Specialist

The Asset Recovery Specialist plays a key role in supporting our members as they navigate financial challenges. In this role, you will facilitate consumer, credit card, and mortgage collection activities within the collections department.

Responsibilities :

• Contact members regarding delinquent consumer loans, mortgage loans, and credit card accounts.
• Prepare and file legal documents (bankruptcy, repossession, small claims, lawsuit, and foreclosures).
• Work with attorney offices and other third parties to ensure the proper completion of documents in a timely and accurate manner.
• Process claims for GAP, VSI, credit life and disability, property insurance, and letter of guarantee requests and payoffs.
• Prepare collections and board reports.
• Post payments for charge off recovery, bankruptcy plans, and judgments.
• Maintain accurate records of contacts and arrangements made.
• Strictly adhere to all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and policies regarding collections practices.
• Other duties include mailing past due notices, monthly delinquency reporting, responding to credit report disputes, and any other duties assigned to support Collections activities.
