American Traveler is seeking an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with at least 2 years of experience and proficiency in Epic charting for a rotating day shift assignment.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a short-term acute care setting with adult cardiac patient populationEcho technologist / cardiac sonographer duties in the echo department with 1 : 1 patient ratioDay shift schedule is 4x10 hours, 7 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM, with block schedules requiredOn-call is rotational with other staff, occurring one weekday every two weeks and one weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) every 4-6 weekendsWeekend shifts required, with Sunday shifts or call coverage as per rotationFloating required between units and may include nearby affiliate hospitalsEpic EMR requiredAll scrub colors are acceptable except OR / L specific areas may provide scrubsPerform complete echocardiograms and related cardiac imaging procedures as assignedCollaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team membersModule / compliance training to be completed pre-start and annually (approx. 16 hours non-billable)First-time travelers are welcome for this contractFree parking available on site\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum of 2 years’ echo technologist experience requiredCurrent ARDMS or CCI certification requiredProficiency with Epic EMR requiredCurrent BLS certification requiredReferences : 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of recent experience requiredMust have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for floating to affiliate locationsLicense required if applicableReturn staff must have a 3 month gap from prior perm or travel assignmentMust be willing to float between affiliated facilitiesMust commit to working 3 out of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day)50 mile radius rule applies; local candidates accepted at a lower pay rate\n Benefits\n
