Responsibilities Work in the Operating Room of a Level 1 Trauma Center Perform scrub and circulate roles for ortho, ortho trauma, vascular, urology, and general surgery cases Day shifts are 5x8 hours from 6 : 30 am to 3 : 00 pm Every other weekend is required, with two weekends per month One 12-hour call shift per month on a Saturday or Sunday, with no weekday call Mandatory floating to meet facility needs, which may include floating to other units or facilities within a 50-mile radius Uses Cerner EMR system Preferred experience includes neurosurgery (crani and spine), open heart / thoracic, ophthalmology, ENT, bariatric, and gynecology Navy blue scrubs provided by the facility Team-based model support provided when floated outside primary competency Strict compliance and documentation deadlines must be met Lab work must be completed within 72 hours of accepting the assignment No block scheduling or special scheduling requests allowed Time off is limited to 5 days maximum, with no more than 2 consecutive days, and no RTO on weekends, holidays, or immediately before / after a holiday Failure to adhere to floating or compliance requirements may result in contract cancellation Requirements Active IL RN license (no pending licensure) Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Minimum of 2 years recent acute care Operating Room experience Level 1 Trauma experience required Experienced with both scrub and circulate roles Experience with ortho, ortho trauma, vascular, urology, and general surgery procedures required Proof of COVID-19 vaccination prior to start Must live within 75 miles of the facility for consideration Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-640119.
