Travel Nursing Job Details Location : Munster, Indiana (46321) - Northwest Indiana healthcare jobs Unit : Cardiovascular Intermediate Care Unit (CV-IMCU) Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse Duration : 13-week contract (Start : 12 / 1 / 2025 - End : 3 / 2 / 2026) Shift : Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19 : 00 - 07 : 30) Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Pay : $2020 - $2070 Patient Ratios : 1 : 4-5 Weekend Coverage : Every other weekend Electronic Documentation : EPIC required Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent cardiovascular intermediate care or cardiac stepdown RN experience Active Indiana or Compact Registered Nurse license (must be in hand at time of submission) ACLS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred) Must pass onsite EKG exam (study guides provided) Experience with EPIC electronic health record system Omnicell experience required Ability to float to IMCU, Med / Surg, ICU, or ER Hold units as needed COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical exemptions only) Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities Deliver nursing care for adult and geriatric patients requiring cardiovascular intermediate and acute care monitoring Monitor and manage post cardiac, vascular, or thoracic surgery patients Administer blood products, cardiac drips, and vasoactive drips (no titration) Care for patients with chest tubes, tracheostomies, feeding tubes, and surgical drains Interpret dysrhythmias and manage cardiac telemetry Implement isolation precautions and negative pressure room protocols Float to other units (IMCU, Med / Surg, ICU, ER Hold) as needed based on census and acuity Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response Document patient care accurately using EPIC Discover rewarding travel nursing jobs in Indiana and experience the welcoming community of Munster.
