Warehouse Lead
The warehouse lead is responsible for acting as a coach/leader of warehouse associates. The job is responsible to coach and train teammates to fulfill their individual daily tasks in addition to the lead's own tasks. The lead will provide backup to the supervisor as needed.
Functions include:
- Training new warehouse associates and forklift drivers and conducting powered industrial truck and annual recertification training.
- Conducting EIP, performance, and maintenance observations.
- Safely operating powered industrial equipment to move products or materials for distribution.
- Completing applicable paperwork per standard operating procedures and applicable regulatory agencies.
- Participating in inventory/cycle count activities as needed and reporting variances to leadership.
- Performing daily safety inspections per the safety checklist on forklift trucks.
- Ensuring the facility is inspection ready at all times for SQFI, FDA, and customer needs.
- Communicating and reporting any incidents to the supervisor.
- Ensuring product rotation procedures are followed.
- Reviewing and analyzing daily production reports.
- Serving as backup to other warehouse roles, as needed.
- Depending on specific department, other duties may apply.
Qualifications include:
- High school diploma or GED preferred and ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Minimum 2 years prior warehouse/distribution operations experience and 6 months experience related leadership or supervisory experience and/or training in a distribution environment.
- Must be a licensed forklift operator or be able to obtain a forklift operator license.

This position is not expected to travel.
