Fare Restructuring Consultant

Job Description

This is a remote position.

PART TIME - REMOTE - CONTRACT - PREFERRED LOCATION : LOS ANGELES

Key Duties :

Provide expert support in analyzing and restructuring fare systems to improve equity, efficiency, and financial sustainability.

Develop and maintain fare models to evaluate revenue and ridership impacts.

Conduct and analyze ridership surveys to understand passenger behavior.

Prepare reports with findings and recommendations on fare policy options.

Assess financial, equity, and compliance impacts of fare changes.

Present results clearly to leadership and stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements :

3+ years’ experience developing, updating, and maintaining fare modeling.

3+ years’ experience conducting and analyzing ridership survey studies and preparing reports.

Preferred Skills :

Knowledge of transit fare structures and subsidy programs.

Strong data analysis and reporting skills (Excel, Power BI, or similar).

Ability to communicate technical results in simple terms.
