Medical Director of Pathology

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Medical Director of Pathology to lead our pathology department at Cheshire Medical Center. The Medical Director is responsible for the overall direction, operation, and management of the Section in accordance with the mission and goals of the Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinic, Cheshire Medical Center, and with the objectives established by the Chief Medical Officer of Cheshire Medical Center. The Medical Director is the role model of appropriate, expert, compassionate, and cost-effective clinical care and maintains exemplary interpersonal relationships with colleagues in the Department and throughout the organization. Key Responsibilities :

• Provide medical and administrative leadership for the pathology department.
• Oversee and ensure quality assurance, compliance, and accreditation standards.
• Interpret pathology and laboratory test results with accuracy and timeliness.
• Collaborate with hospital leadership, clinicians, and laboratory staff to optimize diagnostic services.
• Develop and implement policies to improve efficiency, accuracy, and patient outcomes.
• Participate in strategic planning for laboratory growth and development.
• Train and mentor pathology staff.
