About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and technically inclined Help Desk Support Intern to join the Department of Technology. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience in IT support, troubleshooting, and user assistance within a professional environment. You will be a vital first point of contact for employees, helping to resolve technical issues and maintain operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
The Help Desk Intern will be responsible for :
Tier 1 Support : Providing initial technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues via phone, email, or in-person walk-ups.Incident Management : Logging, tracking, prioritizing, and documenting all support requests using our ticketing system (e.g., Zendesk, ServiceNow).Troubleshooting : Diagnosing and resolving common issues such as password resets, connectivity problems, software installation errors, and printer issues.Hardware / Software Management : Assisting with the setup, configuration, and deployment of new workstations, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.Documentation : Creating and updating knowledge base articles, technical guides, and procedural documentation to improve self-service and support efficiency.User Training : Guiding users through basic troubleshooting steps and ensuring they understand how to use common applications and IT services.Qualifications
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems , or a related technical field.Foundational knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems .Basic understanding of network concepts (e.g., TCP / IP, DNS, VPN).Excellent customer service and communication skills (written and verbal), with a patient and professional demeanor.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues logically.
