Overview
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Junior Trader-Salesperson / Sales Assistant to join our growing team in the food ingredient industry. This is an entry-level opportunity for someone who is passionate about food, eager to learn the fundamentals of sales & purchasing, and excited to grow within a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Bedemco food trader has the ability to buy and sell food products while earning commissions. The idea is that the sales assistant / Jr Trader will graduate to becoming a full-time trader while assisting the current team of traders and learning the role of buying and selling food ingredients.
The ideal candidate is a culture fit—driven, team-oriented, reliable, and enthusiastic about delivering value to our customers, suppliers, and internal Traders. You’ll play a key supporting role for sales & purchasing at Bedemco, while gaining hands-on experience and exposure to our operations, business to business interactions, and the inner workings of an import / ingredient-focused food business. Pay : $55,000 - $65,000 depending on experience with full time benefits.

- Availability to work a hybrid schedule 40 hours / week throughout summer break

Responsibilities
In this position, you will be expected to learn the ins-and-outs of our daily routines and proceduresAnswer phone inquiries, direct calls, and provide basic company information; oversee mail deliveries, packages, and couriersPerform administrative duties, take memos, maintain files, maintain calendars, and organize documentsAssist in preparing information and research materials; create and maintain files key presentation material.Take notes and memos during meetings; type documents, drafts, and reports; sort and manage filesRun general industry related errandsManage & track databases and input information, data, lead list, account list, and recordsResearch and gather documentation on company position in the industrySet up, break down, organize, and maintain conference rooms, training rooms, sample rooms, and meeting rooms, update company calendarsAttend company functions and networking eventsIncumbents will follow any other instructions, and perform any other related duties as assigned by the Sales Manager and / or Management.This position requires 1-3 years of training.Collaborate with sales & trading team to assisting in opportunities and manage responsibilities aligned with each one.Build and help manage customer relationships by consistently following thru on tasks and customer service.Job Type : Full-time
