Mission

RDI is a nimble, full-service CRO focused on accelerating in vitro diagnostic (IVD) development. We bring together clinical sites, physicians, and our own CLIA-certified, CAP-accredited lab to help diagnostics innovators run smarter, faster studies—without the friction. From study startup through FDA submission, we ensure sites are equipped, patients are cared for, and timelines stay on track. Every role at RDI is tied to real-world impact : whether supporting a clinical site, designing a system, or joining a client call, you’re helping bring critical diagnostics to patients faster.

Now, we’re looking for a Director of Product Architecture to help scale the technical backbone of our work. This is a pivotal role where you’ll shape how RDI’s data systems, integrations, and product roadmap evolve to meet the needs of next-generation diagnostics development.

What you’ll do

• 40 % - Take charge of the architecture. Redesign our custom Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS) that integrates Salesforce and Cloudbyz into a streamlined, API-driven data layer that supports Castor EDC, OCR pipelines, and Business Intelligence.
• 25 % - Drive the build and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Manage a hybrid team consisting of 1 internal administrator, 3–4 offshore developers, and a UX agency, while implementing Git-based DevOps, test automation, and release management.
• 20 % - Focus on integrations and data governance. Develop secure processes for managing Protected Health Information (PHI), e-sourcing, adjudication panels, and future AI functionalities; oversee HIPAA, SOX, and SOC2 compliance.
• 10 % - Shape product strategy. Collaborate with Conall on the product roadmap, including features such as site-identification AI, nurse-CRA dashboards, and sponsor portals.
• 5 % - Mentor and advocate. Enhance the capabilities of Clinical Research Associates (CRAs) and project associates so they truly understand and embrace the data model rather than circumventing it.
