Dean's Professional Services is seeking qualified, patient-care focused Medical Assistants to join our team to work in a Correctional Facility . Position Overview

As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient support and fostering a positive patient experience. You'll play a key role in building patient trust, satisfaction, and organizational loyalty by ensuring each visit is welcoming, informative, and seamless.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Prepare and administer medications as directed by the physician
  • Perform EKGs, basic lab testing, suture removal, and dressing changes
  • Conduct medical histories and provide patient education on medications and diet
  • Authorize prescription refills as directed
  • Room patients and take / document vital signs
  • Prepare patients for examinations and communicate visit expectations
  • Answer phones and greet patients
  • Clean, prepare, and maintain exam and treatment rooms

    • Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of clinical Medical Assistant experience (externships not included)
  • Medical Assistant Certification REQUIRED
  • CPR / BLS Certification Required (American Heart Association only)
  • EPIC (EMR) experience preferred
  • Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel
  • Non-smokers / nicotine-free only

    • Position Details

  • Schedule : 3x 12-hour shifts (36 hours per week)
  • Compensation : Starting at $22 an hour, based on experience and qualifications
  • Worksite Location : Houston, TX 77002
