Position Title :Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)Reports To :Clinical Manager / Executive DirectorLocation :Washington, D.C. - Early Intervention, Schools, Homes, and Community SettingsEmployment Type :Full-Time / Part-Time / PRNPosition SummaryThe Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) provides diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services to children with communication, feeding, and language delays across a variety of natural environments. The SLP collaborates closely with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members to support each child's functional communication and developmental goals.
- Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, feeding, and communication disorders in accordance with DC Early Intervention and Medicaid guidelines.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and deliver evidence-based therapy aligned with each child's goals.
- Provide coaching and family education to promote carryover of skills into daily routines.
- Collaborate with occupational therapists, physical therapists, behavior analysts, social workers, and developmental specialists to support integrated care.
- Document session notes, evaluations, and progress reports accurately and within required timelines.
- Participate in IFSP (Individualized Family Service Plan) or IEP meetings as appropriate.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and Medicaid documentation standards.
- Adhere to Coastal Healthcare Services' productivity and professional conduct standards.
- Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the District of Columbia.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred; CFY candidates considered.
- Current CPR certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of pediatric experience preferred (Early Intervention or school-based experience highly desirable).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; bilingual skills are a plus.
- Productivity & Caseload Expectations
- Full-time SLPs are expected to maintain an average of
- 6.5 treatment sessions per day
- or equivalent caseload in line with Coastal Healthcare productivity standards.
- Maintain at least
- 88% productivity
- per pay period to remain eligible for full-time status and benefits.
