Job descriptionProvide customer service to clients, students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus buildings and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns. Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or property damage encountered during patrols. Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and reporting any unauthorized access attempts. Support emergency response efforts by communicating with Allied Universal management and local authorities as needed. Document all incidents, observations, and actions taken in daily activity reports and / or incident reports as required by site procedures. Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted behavior and provide reassurance to the campus community. Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Be at least 21 years of age. Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred. Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred. Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only. DayTime Tue 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM
Thur 10 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 AM
Sat 10 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 AM
What You'll Do :
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
