Recruitment And Outreach Coordinator
The College of Business at MSU Denver is seeking a self-motivated, highly organized, dynamic Recruitment and Outreach Coordinator to represent the College in the community. The Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing strategies that increase prospective student engagement and enrollment. This role leads recruitment efforts through event participation, classroom presentations, and the development of partnerships with high schools and community colleges. The Coordinator also manages outreach events, promotional materials, and communications, and oversees faculty involvement. While the primary focus is on brand awareness, the role also requires strategic planning and attention to detail. Additional responsibilities include data tracking and analysis, budget management, and collaboration with university departments to align messaging and recruitment goals. This position reports to the Assistant Dean and is part of a team committed to recruitment, retention, and degree attainment for College of Business students.
Prospective Student Recruitment (65%)
- Research opportunities, initiate contact, and represent MSU Denver at key business related outreach events, including but not limited to college fairs, FBLA and DECA competitions, and programmatic school visits, to increase brand awareness of the College of Business. Coordinate follow-up efforts through the Office of Admissions.
- Conduct classroom presentations, info sessions, tours, and workshops, designed to promote enrollment in the College of Business. Coordinate follow-up efforts through the Office of Admissions.
- Develop and host events on and off campus for prospective students and their families at business specific events to promote the College of Business in collaboration with the Office of Admissions.
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with school district teachers, CTE counselors and workforce coordinators, and community college faculty and staff that promote enrollment in the College of Business. Coordinate follow-up efforts through the Office of Admissions.
- Build relationships with business instructors, faculty, and advisors at high schools and community colleges to promote pathways from high school to community college to the College of Business.
Team Management (10%)
Recruit and supervise faculty to serve as subject matter experts for classroom presentations at area high school and community college. Monitor and managing content as needed for the intended audiences.Coordinate with district and college administrators to schedule faculty engagement with students and classrooms and events.Coordinate with College of Business faculty and staff to organize multiple high-profile College of Business student retention events. Manage all aspects of the events including but not limited to budget, resources, promotion, and delivery.Strategic Leadership & Program Development (10%)
Represent the College of Business by serving on district and state advisory committees focused on business education. When appropriate, refer advisory committee members to College of Business faculty and staff for potential collaboration opportunities.Communicate the fundamentals of state articulation agreements and course crosswalks with community college academic advisors.Using data from the previous year, update annual recruitment and outreach plans aligned with enrollment goals, set outcome targets and coordinate with partner organizations, university resources, and others for implementation. Align updates with College of Business' 10-year strategic plan.Utilize CRM tools (e.g., Slate) and data-driven practices in recruitment efforts.Collaborate with departments such as Admissions, Financial Aid, and Marketing to coordinate messaging and student pipeline efforts.Promotions & Communications (5%)
Develop, maintain, and improve informational and promotional materials, including print flyers, letters, web content, and the college's social media platforms while adhering to University Marketing branding standards.Tracking & Reporting (5%)
Collect, analyze, and report on recruitment data, including inquiry-to-enrollment conversion rates and event effectiveness.Use data to continuously refine outreach strategies, particularly to increase yield among identified target audiences.Budget Management & Other (5%)
Manage the recruitment and outreach budget, including travel, events, and promotional materials.Ensure efficient use of resources and compliance with university financial policies.Duties as assigned.Job Skills, Knowledge, and Competencies

Preferred Qualifications

Under Colorado law, MSU Denver is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role and should not offer a salary outside of the range posted in this job announcement. This range takes into account a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, analysis of internal equity, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience.
The salary range that the university reasonably expects to pay for this position is $53,000 - $66,000. This position is paid monthly and is eligible for MSU Denver benefits.
