  • About the Role
  • Our TEKsystems client in the financial services industry is seeking an experienced
  • Network Engineer
  • to support the VP of Networking in maintaining and evolving a secure, high-performance enterprise network. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead infrastructure initiatives, mentor a small team, and contribute to cloud migration and automation efforts.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Design, configure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including
  • Cisco switches, routers, and firewalls
  • Develop and enforce
  • network security policies
  • in compliance with
  • financial regulations
  • (e.g., PCI DSS, SOX, NYDFS).
  • Collaborate with cloud, infrastructure, and application teams to support
  • hybrid cloud integration
  • Monitor network performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement proactive solutions.
  • Lead and mentor a small networking team, promoting a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies to improve
  • network resiliency, automation, and security
  • Provide
  • escalation support
  • for critical network issues and ensure
  • 24 / 7 operational readiness
  • Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years
  • of hands-on experience in
  • enterprise networking
  • Deep expertise in
  • Cisco technologies
  • : switches, routers, firewalls.
  • Strong understanding of
  • network security frameworks
  • and compliance standards.
  • Proven
  • leadership experience
  • , including mentoring and project management.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, optimization, and communication skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with
  • AWS networking
  • (VPC, Transit Gateway, Security Groups, NACLs).
  • Familiarity with
  • Azure networking
  • and
  • hybrid cloud connectivity
  • (Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, SD-WAN).
  • Hands-on experience with
  • Terraform
  • and
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Exposure to
  • container networking
  • (Kubernetes, EKS / AKS).
  • Pay and Benefits

    • The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $80.00 / hr.
