  • Healthcare Setting : Acute Care Hospital, General Surgery Operating Room\n
  • Start Date : December 8, 2025\n
  • End Date : March 9, 2026\n
  • Contract Duration : 13 weeks\n
  • Shift : Day Shift, 4x10-hour shifts (6 : 30am – 5 : 00pm)\n
  • Hours per Week : 40\n
  • On-Call : 1-2 call days per week (starting at 5pm); 1 call weekend every 5 weeks (Saturday 7am – Monday 7am)\n
  • Patient Ratio : 1 : 1\n
  • Unit : General Surgery (9 OR rooms)\n
  • Scrubs : Hospital-issued\n
  • Charting : Epic EMR\n
  • Parking : Free parking with pass provided\n
  • Estimated Weekly Salary : $1630-$1750\n

    • \n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n \n

  • Active South Carolina RN license or Multi-State / Compact Registered Nurse license (must be active prior to start)\n
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience in acute care or hospital setting\n
  • BLS certification required\n
  • Radiation badge (provided by agency)\n
  • Experience with a variety of surgical procedures (see responsibilities below)\n
  • First-time travel nurses welcome\n
  • Flu vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions accepted)\n

    • \n\nOperating Room Nurse Responsibilities\n \n

  • Circulate and / or scrub for general surgery, orthopedic, gynecologic, urologic, neurological, robotic, and ENT cases\n
  • Administer and monitor conscious sedation\n
  • Ensure proper specimen handling and labeling in the OR\n
  • Maintain strict adherence to Universal Protocol (Time Out) procedures\n
  • Operate and maintain specialized equipment including Da Vinci Xi Surgical System, electrosurgical units, and fiber optic light sources\n
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, respiratory, physical therapy, pharmacy, rapid response)\n
  • Float within scope to meet hospital needs\n
  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergency surgical needs\n
