Job Title : Ocean Export Coordinator
Position Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Ocean Export Coordinator to join our international freight forwarding team. The ideal candidate will bring at least 1 year of experience in a similar position. This role plays a critical part in managing the ocean export process from booking through delivery, ensuring full compliance with global trade regulations and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate all aspects of ocean export shipments from origin to final destination.
Prepare and process all required export documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
Ensure all export activities comply with international regulations, U.S. export laws, and company policies.
Utilize CargoWise to manage shipment records, track inventory, process documentation, and generate operational reports.
Serve as a liaison between carriers, customs brokers, trucking companies, and overseas agents to ensure seamless cargo movement and on-time delivery.
Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve any issues or delays that may impact the supply chain.
Maintain accurate and organized records for audit and compliance purposes.
Provide exceptional customer service, including timely responses to client inquiries, issue resolution, and status updates.
Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of experience in international logistics or ocean export coordination.
Strong knowledge of ocean freight documentation, international shipping practices, and Incoterms.
Familiarity with U.S. export compliance and trade regulations.
Skills and Competencies
High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and communication.
Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
Problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
