State Licensed Inpatient Coder

A company is looking for a Senior Inpatient Coder.

Key Responsibilities

Perform inpatient coding services and assist with training and mentoring of Coders

Collaborate with management and quality teams to ensure coding quality standards are met

Provide education to Coders based on audit findings and identify trends for improvement

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of inpatient coding experience and at least 1 year of mentoring experience

Active credential from AHIMA or AAPC

Knowledge of coding guidelines including ICD-10-CM / PCS and CPT / HCPCS

Experience with DRG and APC assignment

Willingness to take ownership of responsibilities and deadlines
