Job Title : DBA SME Engineer (Onsite)
Location : US Atlanta (Day1 Onsite)
Employment Type : Full-Time / Direct Hire
Security Requirement : Due to ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) considerations, compliance and secure handling are required.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain relational databases with a focus on performance and scalability.
- Develop and optimize SQL / PLSQL scripts, stored procedures, and triggers.
- Manage ETL processes for data integration, transformation, and migration.
- Ensure database systems meet ITAR compliance and security standards.
- Perform data validation, integrity checks, and performance tuning.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for database architecture, processes, and compliance.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and security teams to support end-to-end data workflows.
- Support audits and ensure alignment with regulatory and organizational policies.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in database engineering or administration.Strong proficiency in SQL and PL / SQL.Hands-on experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS, DataStage).Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or other enterprise-grade databases.Familiarity with ITAR regulations and secure data handling practices.Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.Preferred Qualifications
Certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), Microsoft Certified : Azure Database Administrator, or AWS Database Specialty.Experience with cloud-based databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud SQL).Knowledge of data warehousing, data governance, and data modeling.Prior experience in defense, aerospace, or government-regulated environments.Work Environment
This is a 100% onsite role at a secure facility.
Must be able to pass background checks and comply with ITAR access requirements.
