Material Handler

Required Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to two years of related experience/training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Forklift Operator License
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Technical ability to operate scan guns
• Must have a good knowledge of the English language
• Knowledge of Customer Specific Requirements
• Knowledge of ISO 9001/IATF 16949

Essential Functions:

• Provides support to operators through efficient, on-time delivery of WIP, containers, and other materials to the work cells
• Monitor scrap dumpsters and dump scrap in designated hoppers
• Remove finished goods containers and transport to correct storage area, and scan accordingly
• Perform maintenance and safety checks on forklifts and other material handling equipment for which the associate is responsible
• Remove WIP containers and move to correct designated location and scan accordingly
• Follow all plant requirements for transport and stacking of containers
• Monitor condition of containers and move damaged containers to container repair area
• Maintain storage container organization in accordance with the plant layout
• Any other duties or responsibilities assigned by the Weld Assembly Supervisor
