As the Edith’s Sandwich Counter Shift Lead, you will be a leader on our store team assisting with the store operations, responsible for the supervision of staff responsible for the front-of-house performance for The Sandwich Counter. Performance expectations include, but are not limited to, overwhelming guest satisfaction, ensuring that guests consistently receive the highest level of service and superior quality of food, fostering a trained and effective FOH team and helping create a positive work environment.
Qualifications
- Food Handlers Certification required for role

As the Shift Supervisor (Team Lead) your role will be to create a ‘unique and Midwest Nice environment’ full of warmth and friendliness to our customers visiting our storeThe Shift Supervisor (Team Lead) will be responsible for supporting the store manager in managing the day-to-day operations of the storeYou will need to ensure your team is working effectively, and ensure customers are at the heart of everything you doYou will be working on your feet in a fast-paced environment that will be busy and require you to slide between duties from selling, restocking, cleaning, cash handling, employee coaching, processing register transactions, and etc…A brief understanding of operational KPI’s including sales, waste, and laborAssist and support the store manager with day-to-day operational priorities and run the shop in their absenceA supervisor must be hands on – willingness to chip in as and when necessaryBe proactive towards achieving targets, planning the shift according to the goals and placing the team members in the right positions to maximize every opportunityOpen and close the store using the daily checklistsCash handling and reconciling the cash register dailyTo always maintain a clean safe workplace and adhere to health and safety legislationEncourage clear and engaging communication between team members and upwardsMonitor, support, and coach the team to ensure they reach their potentialKeep the store manager aware and informed on the team’s and team member’s individual performanceReact and adapt quickly to change and make timely thoughtful decisionsEnsure the team consistently delivers a great customer’s service and provides the best product according to the Edith’s guidelines and mission statement8-9 hour shift
