As a Clinical Medical Officer, you will play a pivotal role in our rapidly expanding organization. You'll supervise and train primary care providers (PCPs) at your assigned center, focusing on maximizing core model execution and enhancing clinical quality, efficiency, and patient satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide comprehensive care for elderly patients with acute and chronic conditions.
- Take full responsibility for patient outcomes while collaborating with specialists as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with hospitalists whenever your patients are hospitalized.
- Oversee diagnosis, treatment, education, and care coordination for complex health needs.
- Lead a care team, including medical assistants and coordinators, ensuring efficient patient care.
- Engage with transitional care teams for patients unable to visit the office, supporting continuous care.
- Conduct weekly Super Huddles and Transforming Care Meetings, providing leadership in your center.
- Participate in the management of your center, covering for absent providers as needed.
- Recruit patients and assist in hiring new providers while mentoring your team to achieve clinical excellence.
- Collaborate with center operations leaders to enhance financial performance and increase patient membership.
Skills and Qualifications :
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant applications.Willingness to travel locally and potentially nationally for training and recruitment.Fluent in English; additional language skills may be beneficial depending on the center.Strong independent judgment and decision-making skills.Education and Experience Requirements :
MD or DO in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a related specialty.Active medical licensure in your state of employment.Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a geriatric or family practice setting preferred.Completion of ChenMed clinical training is an advantage.Board certification in your specialty is preferred, with eligibility required.Current DEA registration for controlled substances.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.At ChenMed, we offer great compensation, comprehensive benefits, career development opportunities, and a supportive work environment that prioritizes work-life balance.
