Key Responsibilities
Resident Billing & Invoicing :
- Prepare and send accurate monthly resident statements.
- Maintain billing schedules for private pay, long-term care insurance, and government programs.
- Verify charges and occupancy details with community teams.
- Maintain compliance with renter's insurance requirements.
Collections & Payment Processing :
Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances.Communicate professionally with residents, families, and responsible parties about account status.Process payments (check, ACH, credit card, etc.) and ensure ACH compliance for all new move-ins.Work toward full ACH compliance across all communities.Third-Party Billing & Coordination :
Submit claims and track reimbursements with Medicaid and insurance providers.Reconcile remittance advice and resolve discrepancies.Audit renter's insurance compliance monthly.Resident Communication & Support :
Introduce yourself to all new move-ins or responsible parties by phone or email.Provide clear, compassionate billing explanations and return calls within 24 hours.Log and track all resident concerns in partnership with the Lead Concierge.Train new Lead Concierges on billing processes.Reporting & Compliance :
Assist with month-end close, AR reconciliations, and financial reporting.Maintain compliance with HIPAA and company financial policies.Perform other duties as assigned.Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
Education :
High school diploma - RequiredBusiness coursework - PreferredExperience :
3+ years of accounts receivable experienced - RequiredSenior living or multifamily housing experience - PreferredSkills :
Yardi software experience strongly preferredStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesExcellent communication and customer service skillsIntermediate Excel and Microsoft Office skillsBenefits
