Job Description Summary

The Dr. Charles P. Darby Jr. Department of Pediatrics’ Division of Cardiology at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston is seeking a full‑time physician to provide patient care at the outpatient clinic near Hilton Head Island (Bluffton, SC). The clinical effort consists of patient care 5 days per week. The provider will be responsible for medical documentation and coding these visits for filing purposes. Other clinical responsibilities may change with the needs and staffing of the division.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical patient care 5 days per week at Bluffton outpatient clinic.
• Document and code patient visits accurately and in a timely manner.
• Adapt to evolving responsibilities based on division needs.

Physical Requirements

Ability to perform job functions in an upright position, seated position, walking / mobile, indoor, outdoor, confined spaces, and with both hands / arms; ability to perform repetitive motions, maintain vision and hearing acuity; ability to lift and carry up to 15 lbs., among other specific functional demands.
