About The Position

Inpatient Psychiatry Locums Assignment in California

Looking for a focused, short-term Psychiatry assignment? This Inpatient Locums opportunity in sunny California offers great coverage flexibility and allows you to prioritize patient care.

Highlights

  • Ongoing Need for full-time Physician coverage in January-May 2026.
  • Block scheduling available-work up to 22 shifts per month.
  • Low-responsibility call : Beeper for assigned patients only.
  • Temporary privileges available.

Practice Setting

  • Inpatient Psychiatry setting focused on Adult (18+) patients.
  • Volume capped at up to 14 patients per weekday.
  • Support staff includes 2 dedicated office personnel.

    • Schedule

  • Full-time commitment required : 20-22 shifts per month.
  • Weekday shifts : Monday-Friday, 8 : 00a-4 : 00p
  • Only 1 weekend per month required for rounding (8 : 00a-4 : 00p).

    • Requirements

  • Board Certified in Psychiatry required.
  • Must have an active, unrestricted California State Licensure.
  • BLS Certification required prior to starting the assignment.
  • Minimum of 24 months of professional experience required.

    • Credentialing Requirements

  • Target credentialing timeframe is 60 days.
  • Credentialing Support provided by our dedicated team.
  • Temporary privileges are available to expedite your start date.
