Group / Division

The SensArray division is the world leading provider of in situ processing measurement and control solutions for the semiconductor industry. The company provides measurement and control solutions to both semiconductor fabs and mask shops to ensure that yields are consistently high thus enabling cost-effective manufacturing SensArray business unit is dedicate to support customer R&D phase as well as HVM with in-situ thermal process control. SensArray business unit enable APC (Automated Process Control) to improve process optimization and yield improvement.

Job Description / Preferred Qualifications

This position is for an Applications Engineer at Semiconductor Manufacturing - Very different from a Software Application Engineering position.

Key Responsibilities

Execute detailed characterization of next gen state of the art Semiconductor in-situ metrology tools inside customer fabs

Design test plans, collect data, analyze data and publish results and recommendations in the form of applications notes and best known methods.

Support customer facing field applications engineers.

Perform routine problem diagnosis and problem resolution for characterization, demos, or field projects.

Participate on conference calls with field apps engineers to help evaluate and resolve tool issues.

Customer Support : Product value demonstration during beta testing, head-to-head (H2H) and tools in the ramp phase, thereby enabling product penetration / adoption at customer facilities. This includes investigating semiconductor manufacturing yield issues and providing inspection solutions; creating & sharing product value statements and use-cases with engineering, marketing and sales groups; training customers and other applications engineers.

Use-case Demos : Conduct SensArray product demonstrations to showcase product performance and develop use cases to help drive SensArray product sales.

Responsible for providing technical applications support for the development and implementation of KLA SensArray products in customer fabrication facilities.

Makes presentations on all aspects of products to display value of KLA tool

Be responsible for acceptance test, application training, mission / recipe setup, project execution, and related pre-sales activities.

Assists marketing and sales staff in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs. Provides follow-up support in disseminating technical information on specific applications.

Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors.

Travel up to 40-50% may be required, as needed, to support SensArray products at customer sites in US (California, Oregon, Idaho, Virginia, New York and Arizona) or worldwide.

Desired Qualifications

In-depth understanding of Semiconductor Manufacturing Process

Experience inside Semiconductor Cleanrooms or fabs

Ability to travel at the last minute to both domestic and international fabs in case of customer escalations

Ability to perform complex dataanalysis using combination of Excel, Matlab, Python, JMP or other data-analysis tools

Must have excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.Candidate will be required to frequently present results to internal as well as external customers.

Candidate must be self-driven, anda strong team player.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Level Degree (Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering. Computer Engineering / Science) with work experience of 0 years.
