Lead Our 2nd-Shift Packaging Floor
Step into a high-impact leadership role on our 2nd shift, where you’ll guide a large team on a fast-paced pharmaceutical packaging floor. Every evening, you’ll coordinate line start-ups, keep production flowing, and ensure our work meets the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance.
A Day in This Role
As the 2nd-shift supervisor, you’ll arrive as the afternoon transitions into evening. You’ll confirm packaging components are staged, validate line readiness, and brief 150–300 team members. Throughout the shift, you’ll partner closely with QA to resolve quality concerns, oversee line changeovers, monitor adherence to cGMP, and make real-time decisions that protect throughput and compliance. At close, you’ll finalize batch records with QA, verify line clearance, and reconcile any excess components before handing off a clean, ready operation.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, coach, and train 150–300 packaging line employees to achieve production goals.
- Uphold cGMP and all regulatory requirements, including FDA, OSHA, and DEA guidelines.
- Direct line start-ups, break schedules, and end-of-shift procedures to optimize uptime.
- Review and approve packaging orders; confirm components are checked and approved for use.
- Train new and existing staff on SOPs, proper equipment use, and packaging requirements before job start.
- Oversee component staging so materials are in place before production begins.
- Partner with QA to resolve quality issues and support the site safety program.
- Maintain clean, well-maintained lines, machines, and tooling at all times.
- Complete batch records with QA, ensure line clearance, and reconcile excess components at lot close.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide clear feedback to direct reports.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree preferred; or 5+ years of relevant industry experience.3–5 years of supervisory experience in pharmaceutical packaging operations.Hands-on knowledge of packaging equipment : check weighers, fillers, labelers, cappers, and metal detectors.Bilingual English–Spanish strongly preferred.Ability to lift at least 45 lbs and work in a noisy packaging environment.Why You’ll Love Working Here
