Trauma Program Physician Assistant OR Acute Nurse Practitioner - Mercy Health Lima

The Trauma Program at Mercy Health - St. Ritas Medical Center in Lima, Ohio is seeking a physician assistant OR Acute Nurse Practitioner to cover 12-hour shifts, 7 am to 7 pm or 7 pm to 7 am, 7 days on, 7 days off. You will work in a 407-bed regional referral center with a catchment of 480,000.

• Level II Trauma Center
• In house - 12-hour rotation, 7 am to 7 pm or 7 pm to 7 am
• Day and Night Shift opportunities are available.
• Independent and collaborative rounding - trauma patients
• Respond to all trauma activations.
• Collaborate with trauma surgeon and ED provider to develop plan of care for all trauma patients from presentation through discharge.
• Utilize advanced clinical skills and knowledge to assess patients and manage all aspects of care.
• Great communication skills needed plus strong professional interaction with ancillary departments to enable best patient care and flow.
• Lead interdisciplinary rounds.
• Trauma Clinic - round on trauma patient population and support general surgery.
• This is a 24 / 7 / 365 service - weekends and holidays are required.
• Prefer (but not required) Trauma / Critical Care experience.
• EMR is EPIC
• ATLS preferred, expected within 6 months of hire.
