Job description

Cardiothoracic Surgeon – Locum Tenens Coverage

We are seeking a board‑certified cardiothoracic surgeon to provide 24‑hour on‑site coverage at a trauma facility in Florida.

Job Overview

  • Dates Needed : Full‑time starting mid‑November
  • Assignment Type : OR
  • Call Required : Yes
  • Board Certification Required : Yes
  • Job Duration : Locum Tenens

Responsibilities

  • Perform 24‑hour call shift from 7 am to 7 am.
  • Lead OR coverage for an average of 100 cardiac cases per year.
  • Collaborate with APP support and multidisciplinary team.
  • Maintain high‑quality surgical standards and patient safety.

    • Qualifications

  • Medical Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
  • Active State Medical License in Florida (or ECFMG‑eligible).
  • Board‑certification in a related category (e.g., Pediatric Cardiothoracic) is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex cardiac procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work 24‑hour call.

    • Additional Details

  • Location : On‑site at a Florida trauma facility.
  • Support : APPs available; program averages 100 heart cases per year.
  • Employment Type : Contract (Locum Tenens).
