Job Description :

As a Citrix Administrator, you will manage and optimize the Citrix and Azure Virtual Desktop environments, ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable virtual desktop services. This includes administering Citrix / AVD components, maintaining and hardening Windows Server systems, and applying networking fundamentals such as ACLs and firewall rules. You'll automate processes with PowerShell, monitor performance using Citrix and Azure tools, and troubleshoot issues across infrastructure layers. Additionally, you'll enforce security and compliance standards, document procedures, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver a seamless end-user experience.

The workers responsibilities and skills must include :

• Citrix / AVD Administration : Manage Citrix DaaS / CVAD integrated with AVD (host pools, session hosts, delivery groups, MCS / Autoscale), FSLogix profiles, app layering, Citrix Workspace / StoreFront / Cloud Connectors, Citrix Gateway, policy design, image lifecycle, and capacity planning for TxDOT's enterprise environment.
• Windows Server Platform : Build, patch, and harden Windows Server (2022) for services; manage AD, GPO, DNS, DHCP; use PowerShell and configuration tools (e.g., MECM / Intune, ARM / Bicep / Terraform basics) to automate tasks.
• Networking & Security : Apply TCP / IP fundamentals, DNS, load balancing, and access control lists at multiple layers (Citrix policies, OS firewall, network firewalls, Azure NSG / ASG) to implement least-privilege connectivity; create and maintain firewall rules for systems.
• Monitoring & Operations : Use Citrix Director / Analytics, Azure Monitor / Log Analytics, and platform logs to track performance, right-size capacity, and tune user experience; drive incident response and root-cause analysis; document standard operating procedures.
• Governance & Compliance : Follow change, configuration, and security baselines; contribute to platform hardening, patch compliance, backup / DR readiness, and vulnerability remediation in partnership with security teams.
• Customer Focus & Collaboration : Partner with application owners and service desks to triage user issues, publish applications, and deliver a consistent, high-quality virtual desktop experience; participate in an on-call rotation for high-priority incidents.
