Service Advisor
Job Summary :
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-oriented Service Advisor to join
our team. As a Service Advisor, you will be responsible for greeting customers, assessing their
vehicle repair needs, and coordinating with the service department to ensure timely and accurate
completion of repairs. Your goal will be to provide excellent customer service while promoting
customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Key Responsibilities :
- Greet customers as they arrive at the service department, listen to their vehicle repair
 
concerns, and obtain information about their vehicle, including make, model, and year.
Prepare written estimates for customers based on the assessment of vehicle needs andprovide explanations for recommended services.
Schedule appointments for vehicle repairs, and communicate with customers throughoutthe repair process, keeping them informed of any changes or updates to the repair
timeline.
Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions, service requests, and vehiclerepairs in our computerized system.
Coordinate with the service department to ensure that the necessary parts and resourcesare available for repairs, and that repairs are completed within the estimated timeline.
Ensure that customer service standards are upheld, and that all customer concerns areaddressed in a timely and professional manner.
Provide regular reports on service department performance to management, includingcustomer feedback, repair turnaround time, and sales trends.
Communicate with customers regarding recommended maintenance services, and makesuggestions for additional services as needed.
Educate customers on their vehicle's maintenance needs, as well as any warranty orservice plan options available to them.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent required, with additional training in automotive repairor customer service preferred.
At least 2 years of experience in a customer service role, preferably in an automotive ormechanical setting.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to listen to and communicate effectivelywith customers and team members.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency with computerized systems and basic computer skills, including MicrosoftOffice.
Knowledge of automotive systems and repair processes preferred.Strong organizational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and schedules.Physical Requirements :
Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.Must be able to work in a noisy environment with exposure to dust, fumes, andchemicals.
