About The Position

Certifications : BLS, preferred certification in Anesthesia Technology
Must-Have : Previous charge experience preferred
Must have knowledge of procedure and equipment
Description :
This position does not involve direct patient care.
The tech will be responsible for bringing supplies into the operating room.
Knowledge of anesthesia procedures and equipment is required.
Key skills required include knowledge of endotracheal tubes, emergency intubations, intubation techniques, and IV insertion.
The tech should be able to assist anesthesia providers in critical situations.
Familiarity with breathing circuits, anesthesia machines, and operating room safety protocols is essential.
The tech will set up the room for the first case and assist in room turnover and the time-out process for procedures.
Experience in standard monitor usage and patient positioning is necessary.
Familiarity with pediatric procedures is preferred.
The tech may participate in patient transport to the operating room.
Knowledge of vascular access techniques, including arterial and central venous access, is required.
The role includes an expectation to work collaboratively with anesthesia providers and other surgical team members.
Prior experience with anesthesia machines and troubleshooting is expected.
