Location : Reston, Virginia, with occasional travel to Washington, DC.

Compensation Range : $175,000 - 225,000 Base

We are looking for a Senior Federal Program Manager to lead and manage a critical federal program, overseeing project execution and coordinating the efforts of a team of engineers. This role requires a seasoned professional with strong leadership skills, technical understanding, and the ability to allocate resources effectively while maintaining compliance. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in federal program management, exceptional communication skills, and is eligible for or holds an active TS / SCI CI Poly security clearance.

Responsibilities :

• Lead end-to-end program management for federal customer initiatives, ensuring program goals, schedules, and budgets align with customer expectations.
• Coordinate with engineering leads and architects to scope tasks, define dependencies, and establish realistic estimates.
• Set and manage customer expectations through regular communication, transparent progress updates, and proactive issue resolution.
• Coordinate the efforts of a team of engineers and other technical professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative environment.
• Assess project needs and allocate resources effectively, ensuring team members are optimally assigned to tasks based on skills and project requirements.
• Negotiate project objectives and resource needs with clients, subcontractors, and other vendors, aligning them with budget and timeline constraints.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies, ensuring project goals are met while managing potential challenges proactively.
• Drive post-mortems / retrospectives, capture lessons learned, and ensure process improvement.
