Job Summary and Qualifications

The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. In collaboration with medical providers and other members of the care team, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage. The RN serves as an advocate for patients / families / caregivers and models a commitment to the organizations vision / mission / values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.

St. Davids Medical Center , part of St. Davids HealthCare, is a comprehensive medical facility with three locations : St. Davids Medical Center, Heart Hospital of Austin , and St. Davids Georgetown Hospital . Located in Central Austin, St. Davids Medical Center features a 371-bed acute care hospital and a 64-bed rehabilitation hospital, offering a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services.

The hospital provides a full spectrum of women's services, including a renowned Level IV maternity unit, maternal-fetal medicine, and a high-risk maternal and neonatal transport team. It also boasts the regions largest Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and offers outpatient breast imaging services through Solis Mammography, which is situated on-site.
