Job Description

As an Electrical Test Engineer, you will be responsible for creating and overseeing the execution of a test plan focused on systems integration. Your role will involve validating the successful integration of products from suppliers with the systems being developed. The project aims to ensure that the supplier's product, which monitors frequency and controls power, integrates seamlessly into the low voltage power systems under 200 amps being designed and developed. You will receive direction from Product Management on bench testing specifics and work independently while maintaining communication with an engineer from the supplier.

Job Description

As an Electrical Test Engineer, you will be responsible for creating and overseeing the execution of a test plan focused on systems integration. The project aims to ensure that the supplier's product, which monitors frequency and controls power, integrates seamlessly into the low voltage power systems under 200 amps being designed and developed. You will receive direction from Product Management on bench testing specifics and work independently while maintaining communication with an engineer from the supplier.

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute a test plan focused on systems integration.
  • Validate supplier products for successful integration with company systems.
  • Ensure integration of products monitoring frequency and controlling power.
  • Work on electrical products with low voltage power under 200 amps.
  • Collaborate with Product Management for bench testing direction.
  • Set up tests for the first 3-4 months and execute tests in the following 3-4 months.
  • Communicate with supplier engineers to ensure successful integration.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in electrical engineering and system integration.
  • Experience in creating and executing test plans.
  • Knowledge of LabVIEW and National Instruments Test Stand.
  • Understanding of power generation, transmission, and frequency.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of recent experience in designing tests for system integration.
  • Experience with product testing of power generating and monitoring devices.
  • Work Environment

    The role involves working independently while collaborating with external engineers. The work is focused on low voltage power systems under 200 amps, utilizing technologies such as LabVIEW and National Instruments Test Stand. The position may lead to longer-term opportunities and additional projects upon successful completion of the current project.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $75.00 / hr.
