CNC Mill Machinist – 2nd Shift | Direct Hire | $28–$34 / hr | Long Beach, CA

Are you an experienced CNC Mill Machinist looking to grow with a premier aerospace and defense manufacturer? We are hiring for a Direct Hire opportunity in Long Beach, CA , offering competitive pay, full benefits, and long-term stability with room for advancement.

Pay : $28.00 - $34.00 / hour (DOE)

Schedule : 2nd Shift

Location : Long Beach, CA

Employment Type : Direct Hire

What You’ll Be Doing :

  • Interpret blueprints and work orders to plan machining processes.
  • Set up and operate CNC milling machines with minimal supervision.
  • Use geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T) to ensure precision machining.
  • Load / unload materials using cranes; ensure smooth machine operations.
  • Monitor machining progress and isolate non-conforming parts for inspection.
  • Perform preventative maintenance checks : Way Lube, Hydraulic Fluids, Coolant, etc.
  • Record labor, time logs, and complete first article inspections (FAI) and SPC documentation.
  • Identify and implement process improvements in real-time.
  • Ensure quality output from start to finish while following safety protocols.

What You Bring :

  • 2+ years of CNC mill operation experience in a manufacturing environment (aerospace / defense preferred).
  • Strong ability to read technical drawings and work from engineering plans.
  • Experience with Predator software (preferred).
  • Machining Certificate (preferred but not required).
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and experience with setup and tooling.
  • Team-oriented attitude with solid communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools is a plus.
