WHAT YOU'LL DO :

As a Finance and Operations Controller, you will oversee the company's financial planning, reporting, and daily operations. You will lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, making sure that reports are accurate and meet all local, state, and federal requirements. You will manage cash flow, banking relationships, and cost controls to help the company remain profitable. Each day, you will strengthen internal controls, improve financial systems, and guide the finance and accounting team to reach their goals. At times, you will review and analyze multifamily developments financed with Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, prepare financial projections, and create Preliminary Investment Reviews. You may also participate in the Quality Control Review Committee to evaluate investment opportunities. If you have experience with Low-Income Housing Tax Credits and Historic Tax Credits, you will ensure compliance and help the company make the most of these opportunities. Every day in this role, you will play a key part in maintaining financial integrity and supporting the future growth of the company.

This is a full-time accounting position based in New Orleans, LA. You will work Monday through Friday , with some flexibility to meet important reporting deadlines and company needs.

APPLY IF YOU MEET THESE FINANCE AND OPERATIONS CONTROLLER QUALIFICATIONS :

8+ years of finance experience

5+ years of experience in a senior financial leadership role

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field

Strong leadership and team management skills

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Proficiency in financial software and systems, including advanced skills in Excel and finance modeling tools

Ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions

Preferred :

MBA or CPA

Experience in real estate development, construction, or a related industry

Knowledge of financial regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements, with specific expertise in LIHTC and HTC
