Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Position : School Psychologist

Location : Near Astoria, Oregon

Contract Duration : 2526 School Year

Schedule : MondayFriday, 8 : 00 AM 4 : 30 PM (40 hours per week)

Contract Type : Full-time Contract

This opportunity is for a dedicated School Psychologist to support a K-12 school community along the beautiful Oregon Coast. The role centers around conducting eligibility evaluations and providing Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) to assist students in reaching their full potential. The position offers the chance to work within a rural district, providing essential psychological services tailored to meet diverse student needs.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations to determine student eligibility for special education services
  • Complete Functional Behavioral Assessments and develop Behavior Intervention Plans as needed
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
  • Navigate and apply Oregon state laws and educational systems effectively

Qualifications and Desired Experience :

  • Valid Oregon School Psychologist License required
  • Familiarity with rural community dynamics and challenges
  • Strong understanding of Oregon education laws, regulations, and systems
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work with students, families, and school personnel
