Carthage Area Hospital (CAH) was established as a not-for-profit 501 (c) (3) rural community hospital in 1965.The facility is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital that serves approximately 83,000 residents living in Jefferson, northern Lewis and southern St. Lawrence Counties.

Carthage Area Hospital continues efforts to expand and improve needed healthcare services and technologies for our dedicated warriors in the 10th Mountain Division and the Carthage & surrounding communities.

Administers respiratory therapy care and life support to patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of cardiopulmonary system. Performs diagnostic tests of cardiovascular and pulmonary system to aid physicians in diagnosis and treatment of heart and lung disorders. Participates in performance improvement and CQI activities.

Qualifications :

Current state Respiratory Therapist Licensure.

Preferred Graduate of AMA approved School of Respiratory Therapy.

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification.

Previous experience in all aspects of cardiopulmonary services.
