Job Description :

Join the dedicated team at MyMichigan Medical Center Saginaw, a 268-bed full-service hospital recognized for its comprehensive emergency and specialty care. This hospital operates 24 / 7 emergency services, a Level II trauma center, and a designated Comprehensive Stroke Center, delivering advanced surgical interventions for serious and life-threatening conditions.

As a Travel RN specializing in Progressive Care Unit (PCU), you will provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment, supporting a patient ratio of approximately 1 : 4 / 5 (target) to 1 : 6. Your expertise will contribute to delivering minimally invasive surgical procedures, advanced imaging, respiratory therapies, and rehabilitative services.

Key Responsibilities :

Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients in the PCU, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and managing patient conditions.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.

Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and post-discharge care.

Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and state regulations.

Document patient information accurately and timely in electronic health records.

What You Bring :

Proven experience in a Progressive Care Unit, ideally with experience in a Level II trauma or specialty hospital setting.

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.

Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.

Preferred Education & Experience :

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher preferred.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a PCU or similar acute care setting.

Experience working with adult patients requiring complex care management.
