Were currently seeking a Floating Assistant Teacher to join our passionate team at our Wilton location. This vital role supports multiple classrooms, offering flexibility and variety while ensuring consistency in high-quality child care. You'll thrive in this role if you have :
- A high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 1-2 years in a classroom setting is preferred
- Daycare experience in a center-based, private, or public school setting
- An energetic approach to learning and an positive attitude
- Curiosity, creativity, and a strong team-focused mindset
Some requirements for this role include :
Ability to work the following schedule : Monday through Friday with availability to work until 6 : 00 pm dailyAbility to spend extended periods of time on the floor with the childrenAbility to lift up to 50lbsAbility to stand up to 90% of the workdayAttentiveness, strong time management, and strong collaboration skillsAs a Float Aide, you will be responsible for :
Providing substitute coverage when teachers are either out sick, completing planning time, or on a breakAssisting classroom teachers with opening / closing routines and classroom preparationSupporting child care throughout the day, including preparing lesson materials, engaging in free play, outdoor supervision, snack and lunch help, bathroom / diapering support, and nap time assistanceEncouraging childrens participation with age-appropriate, interactive activitiesMaintaining cleanliness and organization in the daycare centerAttending monthly staff meetings and completing required professional development in early childhood educationBuilding positive relationships with students and familiesWhat Magical Beginnings offers you :
