This role is crucial in representing the Vantive brand within clinical settings. As a Field Service Engineer, you will manage an assigned territory and travel to install, repair, and maintain a variety of electro-mechanical medical devices. This hands-on position requires problem-solving skills, excellent customer interaction, and a keen attention to detail.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities
Conduct installation, calibration, preventive maintenance, and repairs on electro-mechanical medical equipment, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
Diagnose equipment failures and identify root causes using technical expertise.
Efficiently manage service calls and preventive maintenance according to SLAs.
Keep accurate records of service activities and maintain proper inventory control.
Order necessary parts for maintenance and ensure all test equipment is properly calibrated.
Provide training to customers on equipment operation and maintenance.
Effectively communicate service statuses and problem resolutions to ensure customer satisfaction.
Represent Vantive professionally, fostering positive relationships with customers.
Support and mentor fellow service technicians to enhance team performance.
Participate in various projects and initiatives as needed.
Adhere to safety protocols within healthcare environments.
Travel for technical support and training as required.

Required Qualifications
A solid background in biomedical engineering, with expertise in medical device maintenance and repair.
Ability to work independently while managing a designated service territory.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster professional relationships.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Physical capability to meet the demands of the role, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
Willingness to travel 50-75%, including overnight stays.
Valid driver’s license is required.
Experience and Education
Associate’s degree or higher in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
BMET certification with relevant electro-mechanical troubleshooting experience preferred.
Military experience in electrical or biomedical equipment technology is a plus.
Previous field service experience is strongly preferred.
At Vantive, we are dedicated to equitable pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position ranges from $60,000 to $75,000 annually, with compensation based on experience and location.
